Emeritus

Emeritus Premium Professional Members
Beginning July 2010, Emeritus membership is reserved for individuals who have been an American Heart Association Premium Professional Member or Fellow for five or more years (at least five of which were successive), have reached age 67, and have fully retired at the time the request is submitted.

Emeritus Members and Fellows receive the Premium Professional Benefits (except for online access to the five AHA journals) plus:

  • Annual membership dues are waived
  • 50 percent discount on all AHA print journal subscriptions
  • Online access to all five core plus two branded for $60 per year 
  • Recognition as an Emeritus Member or Emeritus Fellow in the online AHA/ASA Professional Membership Directory
  • Deep registration discounts to AHA Scientific Sessions

Though the new criteria will become effective July 1, we will honor the current criteria through September 30.   If you meet these requirements and would like to request a change in your membership status, send a written request that includes your AHA Membership ID number and birth date to: professional.membership@heart.org or call (214) 706-1293
